Alex works with secondary students in Years 7–12. Subject tutoring includes Years 7–10 English, History and Geography, as well as HSC English Advanced, English Standard, English Studies, Modern History and Ancient History.
Support may include literacy, comprehension skills, written expression, organisation, task initiation, assessment planning, executive functioning, study skills and examination preparation. Strategies are connected to the student's current schoolwork wherever possible.
Yes. A session may focus on English or History content while also addressing written expression, organisation, planning or study strategies. The balance can change as the student's priorities change.
Yes. Alex specialises in supporting students with additional learning needs, including students with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia and executive-function challenges. Support is personalised and connected to the student's subjects, schoolwork and goals.
All sessions are currently delivered online and one-to-one. Students need a reliable internet connection, a computer or tablet, and a suitable place to work.
One-to-one online sessions are $100 for 60 minutes. The same rate applies whether the session focuses on subject tutoring, learning support, study skills or a combination of these areas.View pricing →
Alex can help students understand a task, plan a response, develop the required skills and apply teacher feedback. He will not complete, rewrite or improperly edit assessable work for a student.
Complete the enquiry form with a brief overview of the student's year group, subjects, strengths and current goals. Alex will respond to discuss suitability, availability and arrange a complimentary 15-minute introductory call where appropriate.
